Save contacts in Address Book

Save an Arca handle or wallet address under a familiar name, then choose the right kind of contact when you send.

Address Book saves a familiar name for either an Arca @handle or a wallet address. Saving a contact does not send money or notify the recipient.

Add a contact

  1. Go to Settings > Account > Address Book and tap Add Contact. You can also add a wallet-address contact from the address picker while sending to a wallet.
  2. Enter a name of up to 50 characters.
  3. Choose the contact type:
    • Arca handle for an active Arca user. Enter the handle with or without @.
    • Wallet address for a full 0x address.
  4. Tap Save Contact.

Each contact stores one handle or one address. Arca checks that a handle can be found or that an address has a valid format, and it prevents duplicate handles and addresses.

Use a contact

  • For a handle, tap Send > Send to another Arca user and choose the person under Contacts. Confirm the handle and the wallet address Arca currently finds for it.
  • For a wallet address, tap Send > Send to a wallet, choose the token and network, then use Address book to fill the address.

A saved wallet address is not tied to a network. Confirm the token and network with the recipient every time you send. Handle contacts cannot be used in the wallet-address flow, and wallet-address contacts cannot replace a handle.

Update or remove a contact

Open the contact in Settings > Account > Address Book. You can rename it, or tap Delete contact to remove it. To replace a saved handle or address, delete the contact and add it again.

Treat every contact as a shortcut, not proof of identity. Recheck a changed wallet address, confirm the resolved address for a handle payment, and remove contacts you no longer recognize.
