Updated
Arca Pay lets you send money to another Arca user using their @handle. If the recipient does not have an Arca handle, ask for their wallet address and use Send to a wallet.
Arca-to-Arca payments are free and final once sent.
Note: Use Arca Pay when both people use Arca. For an exchange or another wallet, use Send to a wallet instead.
Send by handle
- On the Wallet tab, tap Send > Send to another Arca user.
- Enter the handle, scan the recipient’s Arca handle link, or choose a contact.
- Continue and confirm the full
@handleand the wallet address currently connected to it. Recent payment history can help, but it is not proof of identity. - Enter the amount. You can also add a private note of up to 140 characters; only you and the recipient can see it in Arca.
- Tap Review and check the recipient, amount, optional note, and free fee.
- Tap Send only when the details match.
The wallet transfer itself has a public record that can include addresses and the amount. It cannot be cancelled or reversed.
If you cannot continue
- If no account matches the handle, ask the recipient to confirm it. Arca may let you invite them instead.
- If the recipient is restricted, Arca stops the payment.
- If the safety check is temporarily unavailable, check your connection and try again later. No payment is sent.
The payment appears in Activity with the other person’s handle. If it fails, the status message confirms that no funds were sent. Do not repeat a payment while it is still pending.
Read the full handle carefully, compare the shown wallet address when possible, and start with a small amount when paying someone new.
