Wallet migration and fund recovery
Complete Arca's required one-time wallet update, understand each status, and recover balances left under the previous wallet setup.
Updated
Some returning users need a one-time update that moves supported balances from Arca’s previous wallet setup to the current one. Arca checks for this while setting up your wallet. The update does not delete your contacts.
Warning: Do not retry or manually repeat a transfer marked On its way. It may still complete.
Complete the update
- On We’re updating your Arca wallet, continue and keep Arca open.
- Wait for each network to finish or show that its transfer is On its way.
- Continue when the update reaches All set.
The update usually takes about a minute, but a network transfer can take longer. Closing Arca does not cancel a transfer already in progress; reopen the app to continue. Never repeat a move marked On its way, because it may still complete after Arca stops waiting.
If a move fails, use Retry remaining once. If it still cannot finish, choose I’ll do this later. Arca can complete the wallet switch and let you recover any supported balance still found in the previous setup later.
Recover funds later
- On Wallet, tap Finish updating your wallet.
- Keep Arca open while it checks and moves the remaining balances.
- Retry a failed network once, but wait if a transfer is On its way.
- Continue when the update finishes.
The recovery card disappears after Arca checks again and finds no supported balance left in the previous setup. Returning to Wallet runs that check again.
If the update seems stuck
Keep Arca open for several minutes on a stable connection. If a transfer is On its way, wait instead of retrying or sending the amount manually. Reopen Arca if it was closed, install the latest update, and check Wallet for Finish updating your wallet.
If the same network keeps failing, use Settings > About > Share Your Feedback and include the network and exact status. Support can help identify the next safe step but cannot cancel a confirmed move or speed up the network. Never share your private key with anyone offering to complete the update.
After migration
Open Receive and copy the current address before asking anyone to send funds. Do not use an old screenshot or saved address.
Before deleting your Arca account, make sure the recovery card is gone and your expected balances are visible. Then move the funds out or export and test your wallet key. Deleting the account does not move or recover funds.
